Job Description:

Are you an experienced HVAC Journeyman looking for a long-term opportunity with a growing commercial contractor in the Des Moines area? Join a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and career development while working on a variety of commercial HVAC and sheet metal projects throughout Central Iowa. In this role, you'll install commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, and ventilation systems on new construction and renovation projects.

• Install commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, and ventilation systems on construction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
• Hang, install, seal, and assemble ductwork using hand and power tools.
• Perform sheet metal fabrication and installation as needed.
• Ensure all work meets project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with project teams to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
• Travel to commercial projects within approximately 60 miles of the Des Moines metro.

• Journeyman HVAC or Sheet Metal experience preferred.
• 4+ years of commercial sheet metal or HVAC installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of ductwork installation, ventilation systems, and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal equipment.
• Valid Drivers License and Reliable Transportation

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Overtime opportunities available.
• Commercial construction projects located throughout Central Iowa.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Required PPE provided by the company.
• Dress code: jeans, steel-toed boots, and work-appropriate shirt.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Van Meter, IA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
