Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Millwright and Fabricator to join our team in Jesup. This role combines precision mechanical assembly with heavy-duty fabrication. You will be responsible for building industrial machines from the ground up, ensuring they meet rigorous engineering specifications before they head to the field. While primarily based in our Jesup facility, you will occasionally travel for fieldwork to support system installations and client needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Assembly: Perform expert welding and fabrication. Responsible for the mechanical assembly of complex industrial machines and control panels.
  • System Infrastructure: Manufacture and install fluid conductors (including tubing, hose, and pipe) and electrical conductors to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team during the start-up and commissioning phases to ensure all equipment is fully operational and meets design specifications.
  • Operational Start-up: Conduct initial machine runs, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning to ensure peak performance and reliability.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Use precision tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators) to align and calibrate equipment. Perform maintenance on machinery as needed.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and CAD layouts to guide the assembly and fabrication process.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Millwright, Fabricator, or Industrial Mechanic.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and the ability to work with various metals. Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems is highly preferred.
  • Precision: Ability to use specialized tools for leveling, aligning, and tensioning mechanical components.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to perform fieldwork and represent PSI professionally on-site with clients.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy components, work in various industrial environments, and stand for extended periods.
