Principal Function

To proclaim the Gospel of Christ and guide the spiritual development of the congregation, lead our church as a beacon to the community and providing administrative leadership for the church.

Responsibilities

The FBC Hull Pastor will be a man who exemplifies a Godly character, is compassionate toward others, and demonstrates a high level of competence.

Plan and conduct the worship services; prepare and deliver sermons.

Act as moderator of church business meetings.

Develop a strategy for member and community outreach and a discipleship program to nurture current and new believers.

Attend all church functions.

Be reasonably available night and weekends for emergency pastoral care.

Comply with all established church policies and procedures as well as all applicable federal and state laws.

Spend a reasonable amount of time visiting members who are in the hospital, nursing homes, etc. as well as prospects.

Keep the church informed of denominational development.

Conduct funeral and wedding services as time and work schedules permit.
