In-Home Family Services Specialist – Algona, IA

Starting Pay: $20.50-$23.50/hr
Full-Time or Part-Time: Full-Time
Shifts: Includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours
Hiring Bonus: $2,500!

- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of experience working with children and families
- OR (in rural Iowa) Associate’s degree and 2 years of experience
- OR (in rural Iowa) 4 years combined education and experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Certification as a Parenting Instructor
- Facilitation of family decision‑making meetings

Physical Requirements , Equipment Usage, Work Environment- Reasonably expected to have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising their health and well‑being or that of their fellow employees, youth, or families. Duties are performed in a variety of environments ranging from highly stressful and potentially aggressive to casual and leisurely, in both indoor and outdoor settings.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to outside weather conditions and may be required to visit homes with substandard living conditions and domestic pets.
