Job Summary
Looking for meaningful work that transforms lives? As an In‑Home Family Services Specialist you support families in their own homes, helping them build stronger relationships, develop parenting skills, and overcome challenges. You will be based in Storm Lake, IA.
Starting Pay: $20.50–$23.50/hr full‑time/part‑time (Full‑time). Shifts include early mornings, evenings, weekends and on‑call hours. Hiring bonus: $5,000.
Responsibilities- Providing in‑home support and teaching practical skills to strengthen families.
- Connecting families with community resources such as schools, healthcare, and social services.
- Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed.
- Building strong relationships with families and collaborating with professionals like teachers, doctors, and social workers.
- Developing service plans, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Minimum of 2 years of post‑secondary education.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families (Iowa).
- Rural Iowa exception: may qualify with 4 years of combined education and/or relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed).
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.

Reasonably expected to have sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental, and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising the health and well‑being of the employee, youth, or families. Duties are performed in a variety of environments ranging from highly stressful and potentially aggressive to casual and leisurely, both indoors and outdoors. The employee may be required to travel in varying weather conditions and visit homes with substandard living conditions or domestic pets.
