- Offering crisis intervention and guidance when needed.

This job description incorporates the essential functions and duties required for this position. However, other duties may be required and assigned at times and as determined by a supervisor in order to meet the needs of the organization. - Serves as a role model in carrying out activities and behaviors that reflect the values and principles of the Boys Town mission.
- Iowa Requirements: Must have a minimum of two years of post secondary education and at least two years of experience working with children and families.
- Rural Iowa Exception: May qualify with four years of combined education and/or relevant experience working with children and families.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Certification as a Parenting Instructor
- Facilitation of family decision‑making meetings
- Professional development and leadership pathways
- Reasonably expected to have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising their health and well‑being or that of their fellow employees, youth, or families.
- Duties are performed in a variety of environments ranging from highly stressful and potentially aggressive to casual and leisurely, in both indoor and outdoor settings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to outside weather conditions and may be required to visit homes with substandard living conditions and domestic pets.
