Overview

The Software/Technical Architect’s role will include research, design, developing and executing software solutions based on latest technologies to address business needs. The senior leadership role will be responsible for technical design and direction of applications through technical leadership, while providing consistent mentoring and technical leadership. Software Architects will evaluate and recommend tools, technology direction and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.

The role will need to interpret business requirements and articulate the business needs. This role will be filled by an individual ready to strongly influence the technical direction of the team as a senior leader and is constantly looking for ways to improve the team processes.

Responsibilities
  • Design Enterprise wide applications utilizing technologies based on cloud, IoT, and digital transformation, while demonstrating technology leadership across the organization and evangelizing our product direction.
  • Determine operational feasibility by performing analysis, requirements interpretation, solution development, then proposing solutions to Team Members and Company Leadership, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures, while enhancing existing algorithms, data designs, and frameworks.
  • Architect and develop highly scalable applications on mobile, web and cloud platforms, while utilizing the cloud for data storage and analytics.
  • Drive architecture, design patterns, coding patterns and development priorities for new software solutions and extensive software revisions related to both internal products and commercially available products.
  • Enhance and grow the Development Team through technical leadership, participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates to drive positive team dynamics to deliver on product vision.
  • Provide design and code solutions for complex deliverables, and deliver code and design patterns for other developers on the team.
  • Utilize learning opportunities to enhance knowledge on leading edge development tools, programming techniques, and computing methodologies; participate in educational opportunities and share learning with the team and company leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with Business Analysts and customers to understand needs and processes to deliver solutions solving business and technology requirements.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations and adhere to policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and employee handbook.
  • Present a professional image of the company when interacting with customers and the community.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance knowledge and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science or software engineering, or 7 years equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of the SDLC
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design and component architecture
  • Expert in Microsoft .NET and Microsoft SQL
  • Azure experience, or deep experience on a cloud platform
  • Experience leading technical direction for a team programming environment
  • Extremely proficient in troubleshooting code and applications
  • Ability to describe multiple significant projects they have developed
  • Ability to describe multiple significant projects where they have led technology direction
  • Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies
  • Highly logical with a keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and methodologies
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills and team player attitude
  • Self-motivated and able to solve problems without supervision
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
