Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Delivery- Act as the technical authority for the scrum team, making day‑to‑day engineering decisions and setting a high standard for code quality.
- Write, review, and contribute production‑quality code across the full stack – C#/.NET, Angular, and Oracle – as an active, hands‑on team member.
- Lead sprint ceremonies as scrum master: planning, refinement, daily stand‑ups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Set daily priorities, unblock teammates, and remove dependencies to keep delivery on schedule.
- Maintain engineering standards: unit testing, code review discipline, definition of done, and release readiness.
- Champion AI‑first engineering: achieve ≥50% AI‑authored PR targets and ≥95% AI code review adoption, model agentic development practices, and coach teammates.
- Directly manage 4–5 engineers, owning 1:1s, performance feedback, career development, and day‑to‑day engagement.
- Partner with the Sr Engineering Manager on hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
- Coach engineers on technical skills and professional development, fostering a high‑accountability team culture.
- Interface with client stakeholders at key points in the delivery lifecycle – requirement clarification, design reviews, demo feedback, and issue resolution.
- Advocate for solutions that generalize across the Certent Equity Management platform rather than one‑off builds.
- Ensure work is well‑defined, scoped, and sequenced for delivery in collaboration with Product Management.
- Coordinate with QA engineers to ensure test coverage, quality gates, and release readiness.
- Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Solution Architects, and peer Lead Engineers on cross‑team technical decisions and standards.
- Surface delivery risks, technical blockers, and scope concerns to the Sr Engineering Manager early and clearly.
- 8–10+ years of hands‑on software engineering in enterprise SaaS environments with experience as a technical lead or lead engineer.
- Deep full‑stack expertise in C#, .NET (Framework and/or Core), Angular, and Oracle.
- Strong proficiency in Domain‑Driven Design and CQRS patterns for multi‑service architectures.
- Demonstrated AI‑first engineering mindset and hands‑on experience with agentic development tooling.
- Experience leading a scrum team as both technical authority and delivery owner.
- Direct people management experience: performance feedback, career development, and team engagement.
- Strong code review discipline and engineering quality standards, including unit testing and CI/CD hygiene.
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies and Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines.
- Fluent communicator capable of engaging client stakeholders and translating technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience working in global, distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with .NET modernization patterns (legacy ASP.NET Web API and modern ASP.NET Core services).
- Experience with schema migration tooling such as Liquibase.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tooling – Serilog, Datadog APM, or Application Insights.
- Experience with containerization tooling – Docker, Podman, or similar.
- Experience with background job scheduling patterns (Hangfire or similar).
- Experience across multi‑repo, multi‑product platforms sharing a common database and internal NuGet package ecosystem.
- Background in financial services, equity compensation, or adjacent regulated domains.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience mentoring mid‑level engineers into senior or lead roles.
United States: $ – $ USD annually. Salary will be determined by skills, experience, and qualifications. Bonus opportunities may be available for non‑sales roles; commission targets apply to sales roles.
