Junior Test Engineer

As an Associate Test Engineer, you’ll support the planning, execution, automation and documentation of testing across Salesforce, Mule Soft integrations and enterprise data flows. You’ll take ownership of clearly defined testing activities while building the capability to progress towards a Test Engineer role.

• Prepare and execute test conditions, test cases, test data and expected results for defined Salesforce, Mule Soft and data changes.
• Review requirements, designs and acceptance criteria with support from experienced colleagues.
• Record defects with clear steps, evidence, actual results and expected outcomes, and support retesting through to closure.
• Execute existing Copado Robotic Testing suites and create straightforward automated tests using approved patterns.
• Maintain accurate execution status, traceability, test evidence and defect records.
• Collaborate across Agile ceremonies, release validation and post-deployment checks while managing assigned work and escalating blockers.

• Changes are tested consistently against agreed requirements and quality standards.
• Gaps, ambiguities and testability concerns are identified early.
• Delivery teams can investigate efficiently and make informed release decisions.
• Repeatable testing becomes more efficient, reliable and scalable.
• Quality decisions are supported by clear, auditable information.
• Quality is embedded throughout delivery and risks are addressed promptly.

Technology & Change is a strategic priority for Vanquis. This development role helps us deliver reliable change by strengthening test coverage, producing accurate evidence, identifying defects early and supporting controlled release activity across business‑critical platforms.

You’ll work closely with Test Engineers, Test Leads, software engineers, business analysts, product owners, data engineers, operations teams and business testers, seeing how your work contributes to meaningful outcomes.

Testing and quality considerations are embedded throughout delivery.

Repeatable scenarios are automated where this improves risk coverage, frequency and value.

Test data, access, evidence and environments are handled in line with agreed controls.

Quality engineers collaborate with delivery and business colleagues from refinement through release.
