We are seeking a dynamic Head Swim Coach to lead our competitive swim program/team (River Otters) and inspire the next generation of swimmers at our North Scott YMCA branch.
If you are passionate about developing athletes, mentoring assistant coaches, and creating a culture of excellence in and out of the water, we invite you to bring your leadership to the Y.
This is your opportunity to:

- Lead with integrity, energy, and vision
- Develop and implement seasonal training plans, practice schedules and meet participation for all practice groups
- Provide high-quality technical instruction and stroke development to participants
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development
- Evaluate swimmer progress and communicate goals with athletes and families
- Manage team communication, equipment needs and pool space
- Ensure compliance with YMCA, state, and league regulations
- Promote the swim team within the community
- Previous competitive swim coaching experience (Head Coach experience preferred)
- Knowledge of stroke mechanics, training principles, and meet operations
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Current certifications (or ability to obtain):
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED & First Aid certified
- Safety Training for Swim Coaches
- Must be USA Swimming certified or able to obtain certification
Must be available at a minimum during all practices and meets.
Pay Rate:$15.00/hr

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and adheres to our mission. Must be able to physically perform and demonstrate skills necessary to lead a swim team, able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
