Join Amhof Trucking, a leading asset-based carrier in eastern Iowa! We are seeking a motivated Freight Broker to handle overflow freight and expand our growing brokerage department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prospect, develop, and maintain a consistent book of direct shipper customers.
* Secure spot and contractual freight opportunities exceeding company asset capacity.
* Negotiate competitive rates with shippers and third-party carriers to maximize margins.
* Quote rates quickly using TMS, DAT, and Truckstop.
* Track shipments, dispatch carriers, and provide proactive updates to customers.
Qualifications:
* 1+ years of Transportation or Logistics experience (Preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
McLeod TMS & Samsara experience is a plus.
* Strong negotiation, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
