2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm M-F)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unloading inbound shipments safely and moving product to storage locations; inputting data accurately into WMS.
  • Efficiently stacking and storing product in the appropriate area.
  • Maintaining an organized work area.
  • Pulling and preparing for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
  • Performing picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
  • Preparing freight for operations accurately and in a timely manner as required.
  • Ensuring inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Reporting quality variances.
  • Efficiently moving product from staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks.
  • Ensuring proper documentation accompanies freight.
  • Keeping appropriate records and reports to guarantee tight inventory control and security.
  • Assisting in physical inventories and ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, orderly work area and assisting in warehouse security.
  • Loading, unloading, moving, stacking, and staging product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, drum attachment, or other power equipment.
  • Maintaining the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Inspecting and performing minor maintenance on forklift or other equipment on a daily basis.
  • Operating all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
  • Maintaining an active forklift certification.
  • Performing or assisting in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Changing fuel tanks on forklifts as needed; participating in physical inventories; performing labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
  • Repairing pallets, trailers, and truck bays as requested.
  • Helping maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
  • Performing other duties as required.
  • Working overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.

Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
  • Ability to operate MHE.
  • Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months, ranging from mild to moderate.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.
  • English reading, writing, and verbal skills.
  • Basic to intermediate mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast‑paced work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years' experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
  • 1-2 years forklift experience.
  • Current or prior MHE certification.
Physical Demands

Occasionally handling/fingering, sitting; frequently bending; constantly walking and standing; ability to lift/carry and push/pull 21-50 pounds; reaching above shoulder, reaching outward, squatting, or kneeling.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
