Warehouse Operator – Team Lead – 2nd shift
Time Type:
Full Time
Compensation: $19.25 – $22.25 hourly, determined based on experience, skills, education, certifications and geographic location.
Schedule: 2nd shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Monday – Friday)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Shipping Responsibilities- Operate a gas or electric powered forklift to load outbound shipments, move product, and stack materials.
- Accurately load orders according to the appropriate doors and trailers.
- Process all shipping functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Unload inbound shipments using a forklift, move product, replenish, stack and store items.
- Locate and place products in the appropriate storage areas efficiently and accurately.
- Process all receiving functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands using a forklift.
- Stage picks, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as required.
- Process all picking functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Use appropriate documentation to ensure all products and orders are received, handled and shipped correctly.
- Verify quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, and perform shrink wrap and labeling as needed.
- Process all quality control functions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Execute all safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep the facility clean, orderly and assist with warehouse security.
- Adhere to corporate and site‑specific policies, safety rules and OSHA/MSDS standards.
- Operate sit‑down, stand‑up, reach trucks, sweeper scrubbers, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, Aisle Maste® or pallet jacks.
- Maintain and report equipment problems; inspect and perform minor maintenance daily.
- Hold an active forklift certification and operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of experience in a logistics/distribution environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Completion of a forklift training program.
- Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse at all times.
- Basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS functions.
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Basic to intermediate skills to verify quantities, count inventory and perform related tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability to change in a fast‑paced environment.
- 1–3 years of warehouse/logistics/distribution experience.
- 1–3 years forklift experience.
- Current or prior material handling equipment certification.
- Occasionally handle fingers, sit.
- Frequently bend.
- Constantly walk and stand.
- Lift 21–50 pounds, reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat or kneel.
Rare exposure to fumes or airborne particles. Noise is usually low to moderate.
