Forklift Driver – Entry Level to Experienced (Night Shift)

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating power industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator must ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation, accurate storage, shipping, and receiving of product, and may also perform Order Filler and Checker duties as required.
Compensation- $18/hr + Shift Differential $1/hr
- Production Incentives up to an additional $5/hr
- Sign On Bonus $500
- 12‑hour night shift (6 pm‑6 am) on a 2 day on – 2 day off – 3 day on schedule
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations; input data accurately into WMS.
- Efficiently stack and store product in appropriate areas.
- Maintain an organized work area.
- Pull and prepare for shipment, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
- Perform picking duties efficiently to meet customer service standards.
- Prepare freight for operations accurately and timely.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage; report quality variances.
- Move product from staging and/or storage to production lines and/or staging docks efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records to support inventory control and security.
- Assist in security and maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using forklift or other power equipment.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklifts or other equipment daily.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently following prescribed work methods.
- Maintain an active forklift certification.
- Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Change fuel tanks on forklifts as needed; participate in physical inventories; perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking.
- Repair pallets, trailers, and truck bays as requested.
- Perform other duties as required, including overtime as dictated by business.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of experience in a logistics, distribution, or relevant environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE).
- Comfortable working in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
- Completion of a forklift training program.
- Basic computer skills, use of RF scanners, and WMS functions.
- Basic to intermediate mathematical skills for quantity verification.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and timely.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to change in a fast‑paced environment.
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- 1–2 years of forklift experience.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
- Walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, squatting, and kneeling.
Rarely exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; noise level is usually low to moderate.
Pay RangeExpected base pay range $18.00 – $20.50 per hour.
