Salary Range: $12.50 - $19.50

Combines motor vehicle handling ability, communication skills and patient/resident handling with an emphasis on sensitivity and confidentiality at all times. The driver must develop an understanding of the patient/resident’s physical and emotional status, work with all ages, and transport safely and as scheduled.

• Ensure all support equipment is well maintained and in good operating condition.
• Set up equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and internal policy.
• Maintain appropriate records per Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and internal reports.
• Communicate scheduling conflicts as needed or predicted.

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and have excellent customer service skills.
• Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.
• Must possess a current valid driver’s license and meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category II drivers.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; if not certified at hire, must be certified within six months (training provided).
