Emergency Medical Vehicle Operator; EMVO - Independence, IA

Located in Independence, IA. We’re hiring part‑time Emergency Medical Vehicle Operators (EMVO) to respond to emergency and/or non‑emergency transportation requests and deliver high‑quality care and customer service.

• Respond to operation and dispatch requests, using tools, maps, and addresses to transport customers efficiently.
• Clearly document trip information, adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment, complete the regular mechanical checklist at the start of shifts, and report any vehicle issues to the Fleet Manager.
• Use appropriate communication methods, including standard radio transmission codes, to respond, route patients, and comply with company information‑security standards.
• Operate transportation equipment such as stretchers, hydraulic lifts, and wheelchairs; use protective personal equipment and manage disposal of supplies.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public‑safety personnel, fellow drivers, and the operations team.

• State Driver’s License.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• CPR card.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.
