Truck Department Manager - Positions that Report to you:

- Maintain physical requirements of the job as dictated by federal driving guidelines.
- Pass warehouse simulation test.
- Operate semi‑tractor and trailer in a safe and professional manner to scheduled destinations.
- Meet scheduled delivery times.
- Perform all customer service duties at customer locations including unloading, delivering special orders, delivering pharmaceutical orders, and returning authorized merchandise to the distribution center.
- Fuel and hook equipment; conduct pre and post‑trip inspections; monitor equipment functions and report defects to truck shop personnel.
- Handle all required paperwork including daily logbook, load information sheet, pharmacy check‑in, and pre‑ and post‑trip inspection sheets.
- Assume all driver responsibilities as specified in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Handbook Rules and Regulations.
- Report to work as scheduled and on time.
- Clean the trailer when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions and write identifying information.
- High school or equivalent work experience.
- Accredited truck‑driving school preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age and either graduate of a truck driving school or have at least one‑year over‑the‑road driving experience.
Must be able to lift 20‑50 pounds occasionally, 10‑25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly. Must be able to sustain long periods of sedentary work. Must pass a warehouse fitness test, drug screen, and hearing test. Must hold a valid CDL, be DOT certified, and meet visual requirements as defined in the DOT handbook. Must perform activities such as climbing, stooping, sitting, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
WorkingConditions
Duties performed in warehouse, retail, and outdoor settings with exposure to noise, dust, dirt, equipment including batteries, and temperature extremes in all weather conditions.
Equipment Used- Tractor, trailer, straight truck, log book, 2‑wheeler, track for unloading, carts, load locks, powered pallet jacks, hand‑pumping jacks, dock plates, reefer unit, fueling equipment, hooking equipment, radio, phone.
