Job Overview
Ag Processing Inc (AGP) has an immediate opening in its Eagle Grove, IA location for a Class A CDL Truck Driver. The role involves transporting grain and bulk commodities in a safe, professional, and economic manner. It operates on a Monday‑Friday schedule with a maximum of 60 hours per week, early start and mid‑afternoon finish.
Responsibilities- Comply with all DOT, OSHA and AGP safety programs, policies and procedures.
- Operate trucks and trailers to transport products to customers or company locations.
- Load and unload products from trucks.
- Provide related customer services in a safe, professional manner.
- Maintain safe and courteous driving habits at all times.
- Perform general maintenance on trucks and equipment.
- Inspect and clean vehicles to promote a positive company image.
- Maintain accurate driving logs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- At least 3 years of experience with a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with appropriate endorsements (combination, tank, HAZMAT, airbrakes, etc.).
- Must be 21 years of age, have a good driving record, and at least two consecutive years of recent CDL truck driving experience.
- Pass a physical exam and drug screen.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Understand and follow safety regulations and perform work in a safe manner at all times.
- Recognize unsafe conditions and take action to correct or report them.
- Communicate well verbally and in writing, professionally and timely to supervisors, co‑workers, and customers.
- Accept personal responsibility for quality of work; minimize reoccurrence of mistakes and be a good team player.
- Take responsibility for attendance and punctuality; remain prepared and complete tasks until finished.
- Communicate with management when unexpected problems arise to make appropriate arrangements.
- Have general knowledge of truck operations and maintenance; operate equipment safely and report repairs; utilize preventative maintenance schedules.
