This is a regular route school bus driver role that safely transports students to and from school, typically working split shifts (morning/afternoon) with responsibilities focused on child safety, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to traffic laws.
Key Responsibilities- Safe Transport: Transport students along assigned routes, adhering to school district policies.
- Safety Operations: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring cleanliness and mechanical safety.
- Student Management: Maintain orderly conduct on the bus and manage student safety during loading and unloading.
- Emergency Procedures: Be prepared to evacuate students in emergencies, such as adverse weather.
- Age/Background: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Licensing: Valid Class B CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements.
- Screening: Pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and comprehensive background checks.
- Character: Reliability, leadership, and high moral conduct are required.
