Our client is a full-service industrial recycling company that helps manufacturers reduce waste and improve sustainability through customized recycling programs, waste audits, material recovery, and landfill diversion solutions. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in New Hampton, Iowa, the company specializes in managing complex waste streams including metals, paper, plastics, and other manufacturing byproducts while helping businesses improve efficiency and maximize the value of recyclable materials.

Salary: $60,000-$70,000 base salary, with potential earnings up to $100,000 for candidates with management experience

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Logistics Dispatcher to support daily transportation and logistics operations in New Hampton, IA. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, managing communication between drivers, vendors, and internal teams, tracking shipments, and ensuring accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with prior management experience may have the opportunity for increased compensation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule transportation, pickups, deliveries, and service requests
  • Communicate with drivers, carriers, vendors, and customers regarding schedules and updates
  • Monitor shipments and resolve delays, route changes, or service issues
  • Maintain accurate records and complete high-volume data entry
  • Verify transportation documentation and ensure system accuracy
  • Track loads, routes, and service completion status
  • Assist with operational problem-solving and process improvements
  • Support reporting, administrative tasks, and daily logistics activities
  • Help ensure dispatch operations run efficiently and effectively
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, operations, or a related field preferred
  • Management or leadership experience is preferred and may qualify candidates for increased compensation
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch software, or logistics platforms is a plus
