The Route Driver plays a key role in delivering Atlantic Coca‑Cola Bottling Company products to customer locations and may assist with setting out and rotating new product displays.
Major Responsibilities- Follow work orders and SOPs while making deliveries to customer sites along the designated route.
- Follow all DOT laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Unload the vehicle, move product to the designated location, fill shelves, rotate stock, build displays, and receive unsold goods (credits).
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area at the customer site to ensure safety for self and customers.
- Maintain professional contact with customers and keep a neat appearance to represent the company and Coca‑Cola brand image.
- Perform other duties as required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- No greater than two moving violations and no OWIs in the last five years.
- Class A CDL with air brakes required; assistance will be provided to obtain if needed.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow directions and work orders.
- Ability to follow all safety requirements and protocols.
- Customer‑focused team player.
- Flexible and able to adapt to varying situations.
- Some light computer experience helpful.
- Regular, consistent attendance essential.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Travel to various customer sites; each environment differs.
- Role is very active; require alertness while driving.
- Frequently lift or move items up to 55 lbs. (Equipment and tools provided).
- Standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing required.
- Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision required with ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to climb stairs necessary.
- Extensive day travel required.
- Work in varying weather conditions (sun, rain, sleet, snow, cold, heat).
- Position considered safety sensitive.
