Process & Accountability Manager – Civil Works Alliance (CWA) – Supporting Sizewell C

Help Shape the UK’s Energy Future. As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell

C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2‑gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the CWA Wide Section.

What will you do?

The Senior Process & Accountability Manager will support the lead to design and map CWA’s key processes, turning them into clear, visual flows and practical “how to” guidance within the Integrated Management System.

They will define and maintain accountability frameworks (such as Linear Responsibility Matrices) to clarify who is responsible for what across delivery sections, functions and key stakeholders.

A core part of the role is to drive implementation and adoption of these processes and accountabilities, ensuring they are understood, used and embedded in day‑to‑day delivery. The role will also facilitate cross‑functional workshops, track process development progress, surfacing issues and opportunities of CWA’s ways of working.

Principal Accountabilities, Activities and Decisions
  • Process mapping – define and develop Integrated Management System controls (procedures, templates, guidance) that reflect how CWA operates in practice.
  • Identify urgent and critical processes for deeper analysis and standardisation.
  • Produce clear and visual process maps and swim lanes.
  • Develop concise checklists and supporting guidance that translate Integrated Management System requirements into practical “how to” steps.
  • Report progress to the lead with deliverables and programme performance, highlighting achievements and challenges.
  • Accountability frameworks – support accountability mapping (e.g. Linear Responsibility Matrix, similar to RACI) across delivery sections, functions and with CWA key stakeholders.
  • Implementation and adoption – drive implementation and adoption of the processes and accountabilities across CWA, ensuring they are understood, used and embedded in day‑to‑day delivery.
  • Workshop facilitation – lead and facilitate workshops with multiple stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment between key functions and sections, and opportunities for improvements to the systems and processes to ensure best practice and continuous improvements.
What are we looking for? Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • BSc engineering or science degree.
  • Experience working in a large‑scale complex organisation.
  • Broad understanding of core organisational functions (Finance, Health & Safety, ESG, Project Controls, Commercial, HR) and delivery areas (Pre‑construction, Logistics etc).
  • Proven track record of mapping, developing and presenting controls across multiple functions.
  • Experience using RACI (and similar LRM models) to define clear ownership.
  • Senior stakeholder management.
  • Experience in using visual management tools (Visio, etc.) to map and present information.
  • Confident facilitator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A formal LEAN/AGILE and Change Management certification is a plus.
What we will offer you?

The CWA is a single delivery organisation made up of the client (Sizewell

C) and three parent companies – Balfour Beatty, Bouygues and Laing O'Rourke – which offer industry‑leading packages including market‑leading salaries, generous annual leave entitlements, pension scheme and other flexible benefits.
