A contract position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in 1:1 pediatric support within a school environment. This role involves working closely with a 10th-grade student, providing dedicated interpretation services to facilitate effective communication and enhance the student's educational experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation for a 10th-grade student in a classroom setting
• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers to ensure full participation in all educational activities
• Assist in promoting an inclusive learning environment tailored to the student's needs
• Collaborate with educational staff to support the student's academic and social development
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards in all interactions

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably with pediatric and educational settings
• Strong understanding of Deaf culture and specialized interpreting techniques for academic environments
• Ability to adapt interpretation styles to meet the needs of a 10th-grade student
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Certification or credentials relevant to sign language interpreting preferred
