In this full-time travel assignment, your talents will shine as you support a student who benefits from a Teacher of the Deaf (TOD), FM amplification, and cochlear implants. The work includes 5 weeks of Extended School Year (ESY) services, with continuity into the next school year-providing both a meaningful summer role and longer-term professional growth.

Key Qualifications:
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL); RID/NAD, state, or educational interpreter certification preferred
  • Experience providing sign language support in an educational environment
  • Ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and related service providers
  • Understanding of auditory technology including FM systems and cochlear implants
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and organization
Core Responsibilities:
  • Interpret lessons, assignments, and interactions between the student, classmates, and staff
  • Facilitate communication alongside the TOD and ensure access in all classroom and school activities
  • Support the student's use of assistive listening equipment
  • Adapt to varied learning environments and student needs
  • Provide ongoing feedback and insights to the educational team
