Creative Action Institute catalyzes community-driven solutions that advance genderequality and build a sustainable planet by developing transformational leaders,building powerful regional networks, and supporting grassroots advocacy globally.

Our unique methodology is rooted in popular education, feminist and intersectionalframeworks, and participatory and creative approaches. We have equipped hundreds of teachers, community leaders, and youth with leadership and advocacy skills toadvance gender equity, girls’ education, climate justice, and bio-cultural diversity.

Creative Action Institute operates its own annual programs and takes on time-boundspecial projects and consultancies in partnership with mission-aligned organizations,providing services in curriculum development, toolkit design, and training and facilitation.

Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role at the heart of Creative Action Institute’s mission andgrowth. The Development Director partners directly with the Executive Director to setstrategic direction on resource mobilization and how it links to programmatic growth,drive organizational sustainability, and ensure our work is communicated clearly andvisibly.

The right candidate is a seasoned nonprofit executive who can hold both the bigpicture and the operational complexity required to move ambitious goals forward.

They will lead the organization’s resource mobilization while contributing to organization-wide planning and governance.

As a critical leadership role, the Development Director will represent Creative Action Institute to major funders, partners, and stakeholders, and is expected to exercise independent judgment at the executive level and actively shape strategy together with the Executive Director.
