Lab Associate (Microbiology / Molecular Biology)

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Associate to support microbiology and molecular biology activities in a fast-paced lab environment. This role will focus on media and buffer preparation, fermentation support, and analytical testing using standard laboratory techniques.

• Prepare media and buffers to support laboratory operations
• Process fermentation samples using standard analytical techniques
• Perform environmental monitoring and maintain aseptic conditions
• Conduct cell viability assays and protein analysis (PAGE gels)
• Assist with fermentation scale-up activities and analytical equipment operation
• Support microbial identification and perform qPCR analysis
• Maintain accurate documentation of lab activities

• Microbiology techniques
• PCR / qPCR
• Protein purification and analysis
• Cell culture and cell-based assays
• Aseptic technique
• Media, buffer, and sample preparation
• Fermentation processes
• Environmental monitoring

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related field
• 1-2+ years of professional experience (entry-level candidates encouraged to apply)
• 2+ years of hands-on lab experience (academic lab work acceptable)
• Experience with aseptic technique and cell culture

• Intermediate level

• Experience with fermentation processes
• Exposure to molecular biology techniques (qPCR, microbial )
• Familiarity with protein analysis methods

This is a Contract position based out of Ipswich, MA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
