Role OverviewWe’re recruiting for an experienced Transport Operator / Transport Manager to support day‑to‑day operations, effectively run trucks and ensure deliveries are completed safely, compliantly and on time.
Responsibilities- Coordinate daily truck movements and resource planning
- Brief drivers, monitor live jobs and manage ETAs
- Keep transport systems updated (TMS/WMS/POD), ensuring accurate job status and records
- Prepare and manage transport paperwork and operational documentation
- Manage delays, issues and last‑minute changes, keeping customers informed
- Support driver debriefs and general fleet administration
- Maintain compliance and best practice (drivers’ hours, vehicle checks, documentation)
- Proven experience in transport operations (operator/traffic/planning)
- Confident managing a busy, time‑critical workload and prioritising effectively
- Strong communication and people skills (drivers, customers, internal teams)
- Proactive problem‑solver who stays calm under pressure
- Transport Manager CPC (or working towards) is beneficial
- Friendly, supportive team environment
- Ongoing training and upskilling
