Our client is an established commercial vehicle maintenance provider supporting a mixed fleet of HGVs and LGVs. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a skilled HGV/LGV Technician to join their workshop team in Ipswich, supporting vehicle maintenance, servicing and repair operations.

You will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on HGV and LGV vehicles. The role is workshop-based with a steady workload, offering a stable Monday Friday schedule and opportunities for overtime.

• Servicing and repairing HGV and LGV vehicles

• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults

• Carrying out inspections, servicing schedules and safety checks

• Completing job cards and service documentation accurately

• Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and company standards

• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment

• 40 hours per week

• Monday Friday: 08 00

• 1 hour lunch break

We are looking for an experienced HGV/LGV Technician with a strong background in commercial vehicle maintenance. You should be confident working independently, have good diagnostic skills, and take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle / Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)

• Experience working on HGVs and/or LGVs

• Strong mechanical and basic electrical diagnostic skills

• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated

• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential)

• HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence

• MOT Tester qualification (Class 4/7)

• Experience with fleet maintenance or dealership environments

• £17.00 £ 22.00 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

• Overtime available at enhanced rates
