Overview

In this HGV Technician role you will be joining a well‑established, high‑performing workshop based in the Reading area, working for a leading authorised dealership group known for its exceptional standards, manufacturer‑approved training, and long‑standing reputation for quality service and vehicle support across the UK. We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to strengthen a team within a premium commercial vehicle environment that places a strong emphasis on technical excellence, career development, and workshop efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Perform major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles.
  • Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose faults and plan effective repair solutions.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair documentation.
  • Complete warranty paperwork and escalate issues where required.
  • Handle general workshop responsibilities as an HGV Technician within a busy dealership environment.
Qualifications
  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI) in HGV Repair & Maintenance.
  • Proven experience in diagnostics, servicing, and repair work.
  • A strong understanding of modern HGV systems, ideally within a manufacturer‑backed or franchised dealership environment supported by leading OEM training programmes.
