Role Overview

The Approved Electrician will install, test, and maintain electrical systems to industry standards, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality work across all projects. The role also involves fault‑finding, completing documentation, and supporting colleagues on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and commission electrical systems to BS 7671 standards.
  • Carry out inspection, testing, and certification (EIC/EICR/MEIWC).
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with regulations.
  • Supervise and support Electricians and Apprentices when required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
Required qualifications / Expectations / Experience
  • Level 3 technical qualifications documentary evidence of vocational training (i.e. Apprenticeship or NVQ
    3).
  • 18th edition
  • Testing and inspection (2391)
  • ECS Gold Card
  • Proven site experience
  • Full clean manual UK driving licence
  • Ability to compete company Risk Assessments
  • Proven experience as an Approved or Qualified Electrician in commercial and/or industrial environments
  • Strong background in electrical installation, testing, and fault‑finding
  • Competence in completing EIC/EICR/MEIWC documentation
  • Experience working to BS 7671 and established health & safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and support junior team members
