We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Cosmetic Preparation Technician to join the Preparations team at Ipswich Audi. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about delivering high-quality vehicle cosmetic repairs, including alloy wheel refurbishment and SMART repairs.
You will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are restored to an exceptional standard, contributing to outstanding customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency.
What You Will Be Doing- Carrying out high-quality SMART repairs (scratches, scuffs, minor dents)
- Refurbishing alloy wheels to a professional standard
- Preparing vehicle surfaces for paint, including sanding, masking, priming, and polishing
- Ensuring all work meets manufacturer and company quality standards
- Inspecting completed repairs to guarantee a high-quality finish
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
- Working closely with the wider Bodyshop team to meet deadlines and targets
- Experience in vehicle preparation, SMART repair, or cosmetic repair
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship
- Good understanding of repair techniques, paint processes, and materials
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Full UK driving licence preferred
