Salary: £28,392 – £31,157 + £3,276.96 RRP gross per annum (pro rata per calendar month), paid pro rata per calendar month.

This role is part of Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) and involves providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across Suffolk sites based in Ipswich. The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team to deliver comprehensive electrical maintenance.
Main Duties- Conduct planned, routine and reactive maintenance
- Repair and maintain a wide range of electrical equipment and services on site
- Fault find and diagnose electrical issues
- Carry out routine inspections to ensure estate safety and compliance
- Ensure all work compliant with Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
- Participate as a member of the On-Call Team to provide emergency out-of-hours service on a rotational basis
- Recognised & registered EITB 3-year apprenticeship in electrical engineering or equivalent
- City & Guilds 236 (Parts A &
B) or City & Guilds 2330 Electro Technical Technology inc. AM1 & AM2, or equivalent, or NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering - City & Guilds BS7671 – 18th Edition of the I.E.E. Regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- BTEC ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Portable Appliance Test Certificate
- C&G or equivalent – Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems
- At least two years of relevant experience with high technical versatility and flexibility
- Experience working in a mental health and secure services environment
- Knowledge and experience of standard and specialist electrical services
- Understanding of the inter-relationship between building trades and electrical & mechanical services
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations in the workplace
- Familiarity with the Electrical Safety Code for Low Voltage Systems – HTM 2020
