Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Technician (Rolling Stock / Rail)

£45,500 - £52,000 + Excellent Pension, 31 Days Holiday, Overtime

Apply your heavy maintenance skills to keep modern rolling stock operational and safe. Suitable for qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technicians with experience in HGV maintenance, aerospace, plant machinery, marine, armed forces or REMEs.

• Preventative Maintenance: carry out planned maintenance activities to ensure long‑term reliability and safety of the fleet.
• Reactive Maintenance: diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime.
• Operational Excellence: adhere to rigorous engineering standards, maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Data Management: accurately record all maintenance, defect, and repair information to support fleet performance analysis.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven heavy maintenance experience in industrial or capital equipment.
• Practical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and braking systems.
• Team player with a strong commitment to safe working practices.

3‑week rotation:
Mon–Fri;
Early 06:00‑14:00, Late 14:00‑22:00, Night 22:00‑06:00. Saturday overtime during Early shift 06:00‑14:00.

Must pass pre‑employment checks, including a Drugs & Alcohol screening and a full rail medical.
