Fire Door installer/Maintainer Operative
Starting Salary £43,680per annum (Permanent Vacancy)
40 hour working week

Magenta Recruitment are looking for Fire Door installer/Maintainer Operatives in the East Anglia area to work with a property maintenance and refurbishment contractor located in the Suffolk. Joining their Fire Safety Team, delivering compliant fire door installation and maintenance works across occupied and live environments.
The right candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and remediation of fire doors across a range of sites, including social housing, MOD, healthcare and education properties. This role involves both team-based and lone working.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Installing certified fire door sets in line with manufacturer guidance and approved standards (including Q-Mark and Certifire systems)
- Maintaining and remediating certified and national fire door sets, including re-lipping, closers, signage and associated fire stopping
- Carrying out works in compliance with FIRAS / BM TRADA standards and fire safety regulations
- Troubleshooting non-compliant installations and rectifying defects to compliant standards
- Accurately recording works using fire evidence and quality assurance systems
- Always working safely and professionally within occupied buildings
- Traveling across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire
They will also consider composite door or uPVC window and door installers looking to transition into fire door installation. Full training and support would be provided for the right candidates.
Required as a Fire Door Installer you will have:- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in fire door installation and/or maintenance
- Strong understanding of manufacturer guidance, certification requirements and compliant installation practices
- Experience using fire evidence or audit apps (e.g. Plan Radar, Bolster, CCS Systems, Site Audit Pro) – desirable, training provided
- A strong interest in fire safety and a willingness to develop technical knowledge
- A professional, polite and flexible approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- A full UK driving licence
- Your own hand tools
- Starting salary: £43,680per annum
