Iqaluit Financial Controls Management

Lead financial integrity as the Manager of Financial Controls in Iqaluit for the Government of Nunavut. This role focuses on robust internal control implementation and financial asset protection.

In this position, reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting and Controls, you will be responsible for establishing internal controls for financial information systems, managing key accounting processes, and ensuring accurate reconciliations of bank and general ledgers. You will also guide departmental financial staff in enhancing their expertise and controlling expenditures effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and enforce financial internal controls

• Oversee reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts

• Manage key accounting tables in Oracle Fusion

• Ensure timely filing of Federal remittances

• Empower financial staff through mentorship

Requirements:

• Strong background in financial management

• Proficiency in using Oracle Fusion accounting software

• Leadership abilities in mentoring colleagues

• Solid understanding of financial regulations

• Must live in Iqaluit, and be a Government of Nunavut employee
