Accountant, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections, Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Irmo, South Carolina. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in financial processes and contribute to the company's success. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

- Oversee accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and payment tracking.

- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial accuracy.

- Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to monitor and verify account balances.

- Generate financial reports and statements for management review.

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation and compliance.

- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and financial data.

- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes for greater efficiency. Requirements

+ Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Experience with Corporate Tax

+ Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.

+ Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations.

+ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

+ Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.

+ Understanding of accounting principles and standards.

+ Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.

+ Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
