Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial information. This role manages day-to-day accounting activities while providing leadership with meaningful financial insight, cash flow visibility, and compliance oversight to support informed decision-making and long-term growth.

• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate processing, proper coding, and timely payment and collection.
• Review, approve, and post vendor invoices in Quick Books; manage payments to key suppliers including Truss Link, JIP, and Silverado.
• Ensure monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and resolution of discrepancies.
• Oversee installer payments and ensure proper documentation, compliance, and audit readiness.

• Prepare and review monthly bank and credit card reconciliations (Capital One, First Citizens).
• Reconcile JIP mortgage accounts and oversee issuance of JIP rental invoices.
• Prepare, review, and file monthly sales and use tax returns.
• Maintain oversight of charitable contributions, ensuring proper authorization, documentation, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity and ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal controls.

• Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial statements to company leadership.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and areas of risk or opportunity.
• Provide leadership with actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Provide job cost reporting to leadership team upon completion of each project.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready financial and corporate records.
• Review and audit Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure compliance with contractual and insurance requirements.
• Support company initiatives and uphold the Mission and Vision of Truss Link through responsible financial stewardship.
• Participate in company meetings and events.
• Ensure processes and procedures are properly documented and updated, as necessary.

• Strong proficiency with Quick Books and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and internal control discipline.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally with operations and leadership.
• Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management required; controller-level or construction-related experience preferred.

• Full ownership and optimization of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and procedures.
• Develop expertise in general liability and workers’ compensation insurance administration.
• Implement and manage job costing analysis and project-level financial tracking.
• Prepare and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
• Enhance monthly reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs for executive leadership.
