JOB SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to Nurse Practitioner Protocol, and within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner License in the State of Wisconsin. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co‑workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
JOBQUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Required EducationMaster's Degree in Nursing or Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.

Preferred/OptionalTwo years nursing experience or one to two years' experience in specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSESThe following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required- Current State of Wisconsin Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner Licensure or Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants
- Nurse Practitioner Certification awarded by a national certifying body.
- Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber Certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification awarded by the American Heart Association.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
