Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Iron Mountain, MI

Contract | Rotating Shifts (7-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts available) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

• Provide direct patient care in a Level IV Trauma Emergency Department treating 40–60 patients per day, including traumas, MVAs, and variable acute presentations
• Perform triage in designated triage rooms following facility policies and procedures
• Manage patient assignments at a 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio, with adjusted staffing during overnight hours
• Monitor patients using a central monitoring station, reading and interpreting cardiac strips independently
• Collaborate with ED physicians and mid-level providers available 24/7 in-house, as well as respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and ancillary support staff
• Float to inpatient areas as needed to provide helping hands support

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current TNCC certification

• Experience with trauma, STEMI, and stroke patient populations
• Familiarity with fast track environments and dedicated triage workflows
• Comfort with variable shift start times and rotating schedule requirements

• First-time travelers are welcome, offering an accessible opportunity to begin or grow a travel nursing career in a supportive Emergency Department environment
• Work in a well-resourced ER with 24/7 in-house physician coverage, on-site respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and readily accessible imaging
