Overview
Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
Responsibilities- Work 12-hour shifts with variable start times: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, or 3:00 PM
- Every other weekend requirement (Saturday and Sunday)
- Holiday requirements: minimum 2 out of 3 winter holidays, typically every other holiday during contract
- Nurse to patient ratios: 1:3-4 during day shifts, higher ratios at night after 11:00 PM
- After 3:00 AM, only 2 RNs staffed until 7:00 AM
- 2 years of emergency department experience required
- Open to first-time travelers and duo assignments
- Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
- Michigan nursing license must be in hand upon submission
- Floating requirements to inpatient units for additional support when needed
- Dress code: any solid color scrubs, clean and professional appearance
- Computer-based training plus 2 days of floor orientation required
- Must clock in and out at facility
- Treat 40-60 patients per day on average with diagnoses including trauma, STEMI, stroke, hunting injuries, MVAs, and farm-related injuries
- Work in a 14-bed emergency department with 2 trauma bays and 3 fast track rooms
- Triage responsibilities available after orientation to facility policies and procedures
- Must note if previously worked for this healthcare system with a 6-month gap requirement

FacilityThis healthcare facility operates a Level IV trauma center emergency department with 14 beds, 2 dedicated trauma bays, 3 fast track rooms, and 2 triage areas. The ED provides 24/7 physician coverage and treats trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases with 24/7 respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, and CT services available.
LocationIron Mountain, MI. Iron Mountain offers outdoor recreation in Michigan s Upper Peninsula with access to hiking, fishing, skiing, and small-town living.
