Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Iron Mountain, MI

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days & Nights) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a 5-bed ICU setting managing diagnoses including respiratory failure, septic shock, DKA, A-fib, arrhythmias, and detox
• Titrate vasoactive and critical drips including Levophed, propofol, Cardizem, esmolol, and insulin
• Manage and troubleshoot ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen equipment in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy
• Monitor and verify telemetry strips for both the ICU and Medical/Surgical unit; sign off on strips as required
• Carry a full patient assignment including charge nurse responsibilities as assigned; ICU ratio 2:1, IMC ratio up to 3:1 dependent on acuity
• Float to Medical/Surgical-Telemetry unit as needed, with potential patient ratios of 1:3–6

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an ICU setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency with drip titration in a critical care environment
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg-Telemetry with variable patient ratios
• Comfort troubleshooting and assisting with respiratory therapy equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen

• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or Trauma Level 3 or 4 facility
• Background working in a rural or resource-limited clinical environment
• Familiarity with telemetry strip reading and monitoring across multiple units

• Opportunity to practice in a dynamic critical care environment with a collaborative, close-knit team and physician tele-coverage support overnight
• Flexible self-scheduling accommodated when possible, with extended block scheduling options available
