Job Description:
Join our team as a critical care nurse on a 15-week assignment in Iron Mountain, MI. You will work 12-hour night shifts in a Med Tele unit that handles a variety of acute cases such as COPD, sepsis, post-surgical recovery, and more. This role offers an opportunity to apply your acute care experience in a bustling hospital environment with limited onsite resources, where you'll be the go-to expert for IV starts and telemetry interpretation.
The unit operates with team nursing and a mix of patient cases, providing a varied and engaging experience for skilled nurses ready to handle a fast-paced setting. Expect to be involved in managing complex diagnoses, collaborating with hospitalists and telemed specialists, and participating in unit-specific orientation to help you settle in quickly.
During this time of year, the weather tends to be cool with crisp air and occasional mild snowfall, creating perfect conditions for outdoor activities or cozy evenings indoors. Cooler temperatures mean it's ideal for enjoying the scenic winter landscapes surrounding Iron Mountain.
