R Warehouse Associate/Backup Local Delivery Driver (Open).
Location:
Iron Mountain, MI - Retail shop.
- Cylinder Handling:
Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations. - Record Keeping:
Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling. - Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. - Warehouse Support:
Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

Required Qualifications- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card.
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications.
- Must have one (1) year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five (5) years and a clean driving record to include no more than two (2) convictions, OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last three years; OR no more than a combination of one (1) conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last three years.
- In lieu of experience, may consider accepting a diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one (1) year of prior driving experience within the last five (5) years.
- Must be at least 21 years or older.
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending is also required.
- Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to obtain a forklift operator certification.
