Ohio University’s Regional Campuses are located in the following cities in the State of Ohio:
Chillicothe, Eastern (St. Clairsville, OH), Lancaster, Southern (Ironton, OH), and Zanesville.
We are accepting applicants for potential part-time instructors to teach in-person and online synchronous courses at the undergraduate level in English for the fall 2026 semester. The exact number of instructors needed is undetermined at this time, as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and changing programmatic needs. When a need arises, the department will select qualified candidates from this pool.

Actual or proposed course syllabi and/or teaching philosophy statement may be attached under other documents.
This position is for the Chillicothe and Southern campuses, in person. Please indicate your campus of preference in your cover letter.

Posting Number F Job Description Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking part-time instructors to teach a variety of in-person English courses at the undergraduate level at the Chillicothe and Southern campuses.
Preference will be given to applicants who can teach sections of ENG 1510 (Writing and Rhetoric 1; in-person need),
ENG 2010 (Intro to Fiction and Nonfiction; online synchronous),
ENG 2200 (Intro to Lit and Health; online synchronous),
ENG 2310 (Speculative Fiction; online synchronous),
ENG 2320 (Literature and Social Justice; online synchronous),
ENG 2800 (Writing and Rhetoric II; in-person need), and ENG 3620 (Creative Writing: Poetry; online synchronous).
Position will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term.
This position is in-person and not remote. This is a part-time position eligible for sick leave and retirement.
Minimum Qualifications MA in English, or minimally a master’s degree and a cohesive set of 18 semester credit hours of discipline relevant graduate coursework by the start date of the appointment.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with teaching of writing.
