Occupancy Specialist
Our client, an agency dedicated to providing quality housing solutions, is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to join their team. As an Occupancy Specialist, you will be part of the Housing Department supporting public housing and Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?
- Assist with maintaining public housing and HCV waiting lists, including processing applications and scheduling interviews.
- Monitor tenant activities to ensure adherence to program guidelines, rules, and regulations.
- Process recertifications, rent payments, and verify third-party information for continued occupancy.
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, conduct inspections, and ensure housing quality standards are met.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with landlords, tenants, and community organizations to improve resource sharing and support.
What's Needed?
- Completion of secondary education (high school or GED), supplemented by coursework in human relations or related experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and remain insurable under the agency's vehicle insurance policy.
- Must obtain Public Housing Manager Certification within two years of hire.
- Ability to handle sensitive inquiries and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and proficiency in office equipment and computer operations.
