Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the safe maintenance, repair, and replacement of plant equipment and systems at the Bismarck, Missouri facility, ensuring optimal production quantity and quality while supporting company goals and fostering a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) culture.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a positive change effort to improve performance by motivating, recognizing, and inspiring others.
  • Maintain a high level of awareness on safety, environmental, and process compliance.
  • Champion hazard identification, evaluation, and control through behavior‑based safety and risk assessment programs, and direct all maintenance operations for the duration of your shift.
  • Increase employee engagement and improve the labor‑relations climate through participation in continuous improvement initiatives and drive accountability for results and actions of direct reports.
  • Participate in root‑cause analysis (5‑why, fishbone, etc.) with team members, maintenance and engineering.
  • Continuously improve the operational efficiency of the plant and support other department goals.
  • Ensure proper documentation and complete reports (compliance checklists, production reports, spreadsheets, metrics, incident investigations, etc.).
  • Facilitate effective meetings and team discussions.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels, both internal and external to the organization.
  • Provide training using STD work description, SOPs, and WIs.
  • Deliver safety training, STOP, FLRA, and all other safety programs.
  • Resolve conflicts immediately and ensure behavior aligns with IKO values.
  • Ensure rigorous follow‑up of all 5S activities.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma (preferred in industrial technology, engineering, business administration, or management).
  • Minimum of 3 years industrial leadership experience (crushing or mining experience is a definite asset).
  • Ability to work shift schedules as needed.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, leadership, coaching, mentoring, delegation, and people‑management skills; excellent facilitation, time‑management, project‑management, organizational, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
  • Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable.
  • Proven ability to build morale and continually improve team performance.
  • Drive to influence positive change with continuous improvement activities in safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Exhibits values of integrity, respect for others, teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Demonstrated initiative and proven record of proactive project ownership to reach strategic outcomes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (MSHA, environmental, labor standards).
  • Established PC and software skills in Microsoft Office applications (Maximo knowledge is a plus).

The Maintenance Supervisor must comply with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations at all times. The role prioritizes safety in all tasks, ensures equipment is operated responsibly, and follows plant procedures to protect personnel, equipment, and product quality. This is a safety‑sensitive position.
