Facility Nurse to join our team and support the health and well-being of our community.

Position Overview

The Facility Nurse works closely with the Program Director, Facilities Manager, and Medical Provider to oversee resident and staff medical care, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and manage medication processes. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle demanding situations with professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical support and assist the medical provider with resident and staff care.
  • Ensure compliance with medical requirements (TB testing, medical assessments, pharmacy orders).
  • Manage medication processes including ordering, administering, documentation, and weekly counts.
  • Conduct new intake medical processing and maintain accurate resident files.
  • Perform walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, compliance, and safety in medical and facility areas.
  • Coordinate with Facilities Manager on medical and facility projects.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, inspectors, and outside agencies.
  • Conduct hygiene classes, training, and health education for residents.
  • Provide and track TB testing and flu vaccines for staff and residents.
  • Inspect and maintain first aid kits, AED devices, and medical equipment.
  • Ensure proper disposal of biohazard materials.
  • Assist with ACA, PREA, CBCF, and BCS compliance audits and documentation.
  • Attend professional development trainings as scheduled.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Current LPN or RN license (must remain valid).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Degree in Nursing or related field.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging or demanding situations calmly.
  • Comfort with technology and electronic health records (EHR).
