Role Description

The Roofing Labourer role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Irvine. Day‑to‑day tasks include assisting with roof replacement and repair, preparing and loading materials, supporting installation of flat roofing systems, guttering, fascias, soffits, Velux windows, and basic leadwork under supervision.

The role involves safe use of hand and power tools, site preparation and cleanup, waste removal, and maintaining a tidy, hazard‑free work environment. The Roofing Labourer will work closely with roofers and supervisors to follow instructions, adhere to safety regulations, and ensure projects are completed to company standards and client expectations.

The position may require working at height, in varying weather conditions, and travelling to different sites within the service area.

• Practical roofing support skills, including handling materials, assisting with tiled and slated roofs, flat roofing, guttering, and basic repairs.
• Ability to use common construction tools safely, follow technical instructions, and perform basic measurements and manual tasks.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices, especially working at height, ladder safety, manual handling, and use of personal protective equipment.
• Good physical fitness, stamina, and the ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions and on varied roofing structures.
• Reliable time management, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively as part of a team on busy job sites.
• Willingness to learn roofing techniques, attend training as required, and follow company procedures and quality standards.
• Valid driver’s license and access to transport are beneficial for travel to different sites.
• Previous experience in roofing, construction, or a related trade is an asset but motivated applicants with relevant transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
