This position oversees a team of 4–5 accountants responsible for managing hundreds of vendor rebate programs, performing complex monthly calculations, and conducting large-scale, data-driven analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness of rebate income reporting.

In addition to managing day-to-day operations, the Accounting Manager will lead monthly rebate margin reviews with executive leadership, providing insights into financial performance and supporting key strategic decisions. The successful candidate will be a strong people leader with a solid technical accounting foundation and a proactive, analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement and automation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of 4–5 accountants responsible for rebate accounting and reporting.
  • Maintain and oversee a comprehensive rebate database, ensuring all vendor agreements are accurately captured and updated.
  • Review monthly rebate calculations, journal entries, and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Validate large volumes of purchasing and sales data to support accurate accruals and revenue recognition.
  • Perform detailed analytical reviews to ensure the integrity and reasonableness of rebate postings.
  • Conduct monthly rebate margin reviews with senior leadership, providing performance insights and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, and IT to enhance rebate tracking and reporting processes.
  • Develop and improve reporting tools and dashboards for better visibility into rebate performance.
  • Identify process improvements and drive automation initiatives to increase efficiency and control.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and audit standards related to rebate activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Experience with rebate, contract, or cost accounting in a high-volume environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong data management and analytical skills, with experience handling complex transactional data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
