Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a transactional Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This role supports a high volume AP environment (approximately 2,000 invoices per month) and reports directly to the AP Supervisor
.

• Perform day‑to‑day processing of accounts payable transactions
• Receive, review, and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
• Perform high volume 3‑way matching (PO, invoice, receipt)
• Match, batch, code, and enter invoices and expense reports into the ERP system
• Review payable accounts to ensure accuracy, proper approvals, and correct coding
• Process weekly check runs and prepare manual checks as needed
• Reconcile vendor statements and verify balances owed
• Review invoices and statements for accuracy and completeness; resolve discrepancies with internal departments and vendors
• Maintain organized backup files for audit, research, and reference purposes
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and request missing invoices

• 2+ years of transactional Accounts Payable experience
• Experience in high volume AP environments
• Strong understanding of 3‑way matching
• Experience working within a large ERP system
• Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
• Highly detail‑oriented with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills and team‑first mindset
